| Eating Requirements – The Bearded Collie, like most breeds, needs high quality food. If it is store bought be sure that it is a quality brand. If you make the food yourself, keep in mind that Bearded Collie’s don’t do well with large servings of protein. |

| Grooming Required? – Due to the Bearded Collie’s shaggy hair, grooming is a must to avoid knots in the coat. Regular grooming is needed once every 1-2 weeks. |

| Exercise Needs – Each breed has different exercise requirements. Each dog is unique even if they are the same breed! Regardless of what you read in this post, other websites, books, etc. your Bearded Collie likely won’t match perfectly with the “typical” exercise habits of the standard profile. The Bearded Collie has higher energy requirements than most breeds. The typical recommendation for Bearded Collies is 1-2 hours of exercise per day. Yes, 1-2 hours per day! If everyone in your home is out of the house, at work, or school most days, it may be difficult to meet this requirement daily. |
| Activities – Bearded Collies enjoy herding, agility training/courses, and spending time with other dogs. The Bearded Collie is quite friendly with other dogs. |
