How Do We Protect Your Information?

We implement a variety of security measures to maintain the safety of your personal information when you place an order or access your personal information. All sensitive credit card information is transmitted via SSL (Secure Socket Layer) technology and processed through our PCI-compliant payment gateway, Stripe. After a transaction, your credit card information will not be stored on our servers.

What Rights Do You Have Over Your Data?

You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Contact Form & Wholesale Form

Our contact form asks for your name, email, subject, and message, which allows us to read and respond to your inquiry. If you prefer, you can also email us directly.

Our wholesale form allows potential wholesale customers to contact us about bulk orders. This form requests:

  • Name
  • Email
  • Company
  • Country
  • Whether you are a rescue or donation group
  • Product lines of interest and quantities

These details are required so we can respond, provide an accurate shipping quote, and calculate any applicable bulk discount.

Waitlists & ShipStation

When products are out of stock, customers may enter their email to receive an automated notification when the product is back in stock.

When an order is placed, the buyer’s name, shipping address, and email are sent to our shipping system (ShipStation) to process the order and print the shipping label. Upon request, these details can be removed. You can read more at ShipStation’s Privacy Policy.

Comments

When visitors leave comments on our site we collect the data shown in the comments form, along with the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help with spam detection. An anonymized string created from your email address may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. After approval, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

While you visit our site, we may track:

  • Products you’ve viewed — to show you recently viewed items
  • Location, IP address, and browser type — for estimating taxes and shipping

When you purchase from us, we collect your name, billing address, shipping address, email, phone number, and payment details. We use this information to send order confirmations, process payments, prevent fraud, comply with legal obligations, and improve our store. We generally store information for as long as needed, and store personal order information for 3 years for tax and accounting purposes.
