The list for 2017’s smartest dog breeds is out! Ready to see if your dog makes the list?
This list is based on a number of factors that makes a dog breed “smart”. We’re sure you may have a super smart Pomeranian (not on the list) or a Husky that wows you and all your friends (didn’t make the cut) but this list is purely based on the overall breed as a whole.
The factors considered to identify a smart dog include:
- Trainability
- Energy Levels
- The amount of commands they can learn
- Their ability to understand and display empathy
- Their ability to understand connections and connect with humans and dogs
